Planning
At Indigo Web, our focus is on getting to know you and your business. The better we know you, the better we can interpret your product, service offering and key message right across your website and other digital platforms.
We start with getting you to complete a client information questionnaire. This will detail what you are all about and determine the best way of communicating that information online, whilst highlighting your significant points of difference. Often, putting what makes your business tick down on paper is the most difficult part of the process. Don’t worry - we will help you every step of the way!
Even though we are a digital agency, we love to meet our clients in person whenever possible. At our initial meeting, we will expand our knowledge of your organisation, its activities and what underpins your core business message and future goals.
For large scale projects, we sit down with you to create a site-map and set about visualising the navigation and content structure. This process of information architecture is vitally important to ensure the website works well technically, and most importantly, is user-friendly enough to capture visitors and keep them engaged.
Design
Commonly known in the web-world as User Interface Design, this part of the web process is all about how great your website will look. The visual design is critical to the success of your website – the better it appears, the more visitors will proceed through the site, accepting their call to action!
For more complex projects, we create wireframes which help to determine the flow of the application or website, and detail critical user interface components.
Using the information we learn about you and your business, our specialised web graphic designers then create design concepts of the home page and a variety of the page layouts. The graphic designers work with the client until they’re happy with the visuals of the site.
We’ve never had a project where we couldn’t create a design that the client didn’t love! Once we have final approval on the designs, it’s over to development!
Development
This is an essential part of the process and where the fun begins! The User Experience development is where we start building your website and making it hum. Our talented developers are trained to appreciate great design. This enables us to take the design further than most developers, allowing us to build a highly intuitive and pleasant user experience.
It’s the little things that really add up to a great user experience. Little nuances like consistency with colour, large hit-areas on links, excellent feedback to users on actions (e.g. clicking a button and knowing something is happening). Many other details we think of whilst building the site equate to a pleasant and therefore successful user experience.

After training, we are available to assist you with any questions and walk you through any specifics you require help with. You won't be alone.
Launch
We have lift-off! Your website is now looking fantastic and working beautifully. We ensure this by putting it through the ringer with our 60-point checklist.
We test the site thoroughly on all aspects, including the UI, usability, backend, search optimisation, code quality and server configuration. It’s an intense process, but we believe it’s absolutely necessary in order to ensure the quality of your website.
